About Uni.ReeDia’s Basic Oboe Lessons

These oboe lessons are designed for high school students seeking to refine their technique, expand their repertoire, and prepare for honor ensembles, youth orchestras, competitions, college auditions, and conservatory study. Students will work with the Ferling Etudes, Barret Oboe Method, Foundation Studies for Oboe, and the John Ferrillo Orchestral Excerpt Book while studying major repertoire such as the Mozart Oboe Concerto, Marcello Concerto in C Minor, and Hindemith Oboe Sonata. Lessons emphasize advanced tone production, breath support, technical facility, articulation, phrasing, musical interpretation, and audition preparation, with additional solo literature introduced throughout the course based on each student's individual goals and level.

High School Oboe Lessons:

These oboe lessons are designed for middle school students who are ready to build upon their fundamental skills and transition into more advanced playing. Students will work through the Gekeler Method for Oboe Books 1 & Book 2, the Rubank Intermediate Method, and Oboe Solos – Everybody's Favorite Series, Vol. 99. and the Concert  and Contest Collection Lessons emphasize tone development, breath support, articulation, scales, technique, sight-reading, and musical expression while introducing students to standard solo repertoire and preparing them for school auditions, honor bands, youth orchestras, and continued musical growth.
these  Beginning Oboe Lessons provide a strong musical foundation through step-by-step instruction using Essential Elements 2000, Rubank Elementary Method, First 50 Songs You Should Play on Oboe, Essential Elements Classical Solos for Oboe, and comprehensive oboe fingering charts with scales. Students will develop proper tone, technique, note reading, rhythm, and confidence while building the skills needed for future solo and ensemble performance.
